Vine Stories – Uniquely Made by God

Marlyn-Malto’s-Story.jpg

I am so grateful and thankful to God for leading me and my sister to The Vine. It’s been an amazing journey with ups and downs, trials and tough moments, which have been part of the growth in my life. One of the most rewarding things I’ve ever experienced at The Vine has been serving His people at the Church.

I had been serving in the Champion Ministry, and last year God called me to volunteer for Children’s Ministry. When I started to serve, I didn’t expect to love and enjoy it as much as I do. the time I spend with the kids has truly been an incredible experience. It has taught me more about myself than I expected. I had felt insecure and afraid, but I found freedom through confident trust in God. I intentionally remind myself to fix my eyes on Jesus. The only way you really learn to trust God is through experience.

He intentionally didn’t make us all the same for a unique reason.

I used to compare myself to everyone around me, but God reminds me that He intentionally didn’t make us all the same for a unique reason, that I am fearfully and wonderfully made by God. I am amazed that through serving the kids, I have the chance to explore and use the gifts that God has put in my heart.

I am grateful for those people who support and encourage me and pray for me. I am loved and blessed.
